Before making an order ensure you discuss all your unique specifications with the artist. During an email or telephone conversation I will map out your requirements. Once I receive your image or have taken some myself, during a location session, I will write an order form which includes all the details discussed. This order form will include size of portrait painting, number of persons, house or pet to be painted. It will include the medium you have chosen for the painting to be painted in i.e, watercolour/oils. The form will include the date the painting will be finished (if this is necessary) and the price. This order form will be sent to you for your consideration. You have seven working days after the order was made to cancel the order. Deposit To confirm an order, please send the deposit as stated in the order form to the contact address. This is generally 25% of the total cost. Once I have received the payment and this has cleared I will commence the portrait. You will be kept well informed of all progress via the phone or email. I welcome your comments. This way we can be sure it meets with your satisfaction. Order confirmation I will acknowledge receipt of orders and deposit electronically or by phone without delay. Payment On completion of the painting I will download the image to you or an appointment can be made for you to view the portrait at my studio. On approval an invoice will be made to you for the outstanding money owed. Once payment is received arrangements and date for delivery of goods will be made. If you wish me to deliver the painting/gift I can collect the full payment on delivery (including any packaging or mileage costs) . Satisfaction Guarantee If after you have received the portrait painting you commissioned and you are not satisfied, return it within 30 days for a money ( less postage and packaging and original deposit ) refund. The returned work will belong to the artist. Price Fix The price given to you on the initial order form will not alter and remains valid until you are satisfied with the portrait painting. The cost of commissioning a portrait will be reviewed annually. Copyright Circumstances in which the customer has commissioned a portrait and made specifications as to its appearance will own copyright after full payment. The artist is unable to print cards or posters without the consent of the customer. A disclaimer form is sent to you to allow the artist to reproduce the commissioned work for the purposes of publicity and promotion for the artist. The disclaimer form is optional. Copyright remains with the artist where the work is an original piece of work inspired entirely by the artist herself. Prints No prints can be ordered of commissioned portraits of people/families/houses or pets. Commissioners responsibilities The customer who commissions a portrait painting will be required to assist, for example, photographs and/or information, as the artist requires for the successful completion of the work. Cancellation If you cancel the commissioned work before it is completed, the deposit paid on acceptance of the ordering form, is non refundable. The unfinished work will belong to the artist. |
